The days of identifying AI images by spotting typos or UI glitches are over, thanks to the full rollout of GPT Image 2, the latest image model from ChatGPT.
APPSO immediately put it to the test with the most demanding Chinese scenarios and commercial requirements. Without needing to "pull cards" (retry repeatedly), every single result was surprisingly good.
To use GPT Image 2, simply open ChatGPT, click the "+" icon, and select "Create Image," or find "Images" in the right sidebar. Currently, it is available to all subscription plans, including free users.
Forging Math Exams: The New King of Chinese Rendering
Previously, Nano Banana became a "god" in the AI image generation world thanks to its text rendering capabilities. However, despite being superior to other models in text processing, Nano Banana still struggled with character misalignment and rigid layout when handling large volumes of text.
Now, GPT Image 2 has completely turned the tables. It not only understands Chinese character shapes but also masters extremely complex Chinese typography.
Using GPT Image 2 doesn't require overly complex prompts. Our tests used just one or two simple descriptions of the scene, sometimes adding aspect ratio requirements like 21:9, 16:9, or 9:16.
For instance, we asked it to generate a primary school math exam paper from Guangzhou.

The result was shocking. The header title, underlines for fill-in-the-blank questions, geometric annotations, and the specific Song/Kai font styles unique to exam papers were all accurately reproduced. At first glance, it looked exactly like a photo taken with a phone of a real exam paper.
If uniform font text isn't challenging enough, we tried to stump it with traditional Chinese calligraphy.
Prompt: Generate an authentic image of "The Road to Shu is Hard" (a famous poem).
GPT Image 2 indicated this was no challenge. The generated calligraphy image featured accurate characters with the expected flowing style and vigorous brushstrokes of true calligraphy. Even the aged texture of the paper and the seal stamps were spot on.
For layout tests combining text and images, GPT Image 2 performed flawlessly, with no garbled text or font overlapping.

When an AI model can generate exam papers with questions and perfectly rendered Chinese calendars that are indistinguishable from reality, the old saying "seeing is believing" is truly shattered.
If you showed that fourth-grade exam paper to an elementary student, they genuinely wouldn't find any flaws.
Recreating the Entire Digital World 1:1 with Text
Chinese rendering is just the completion of basic skills; what is even more stunning about GPT Image 2 is the depth of world knowledge it demonstrates.
Including those images that went viral in recent GPT Image 2 leaks, such as Musk buying Lao Gan Ma on Douyin or OpenAI competing on the same platform, are all based on GPT Image 2's powerful text rendering capabilities and world knowledge.
The concept of "world knowledge" became popular when Nano Banana exploded in popularity. It means that image generation models now possess the knowledge of general models; they can search the web, think, and truly know what the screens we stare at, the games we play, and the live streams we watch actually look like.
We casually entered a prompt with strong internet culture characteristics.
Prompt: A beautiful female streamer broadcasting on Douyin.
The resulting image didn't just show a person; terrifyingly, it completely replicated the Douyin UI interface. The comment section in the bottom left, the like and share buttons on the right, the viewer count and marquee at the top—the hierarchical logic of all interactive elements was correct.
Gamers might feel this even more deeply. When we asked it to recreate a team fight scene from League of Legends, it not only drew the Summoner's Rift terrain but also correctly placed the health bars above heroes' heads, the lighting of skill effects, and the minimap UI frame.
Prompt: League of Legends gameplay scene, Summoner's Rift map, classic isometric top-down view, several heroes engaged in an intense team fight.
It is even well-versed in famous moments from the tech world. With a single sentence, it accurately reproduced Sam Altman's facial features, the minimalist stage lighting of OpenAI, and the live stream interface wrapped in a video player shell.

GPT Image 2's mastery of the visual laws of this digital world is deeper than we imagined.
XX is Dead: Disrupting Design, Marketing, and Advertising Once Again
On the flip side of rapid technological advancement lies the end of old workflows.
With AI crossing the threshold of text and UI, image generation has completely moved out of the realm of "artistic creation" and become a hardcore commercial productivity tool. In this actual test, GPT Image 2's ability to land in commercial scenarios is enough to make many designers restless.
In the fields of industrial and product design, complex mechanical structures and modeling often consume vast amounts of time, but now it takes only seconds.
Prompt: Design a cool product explosion view diagram for "Zhang Xue Motorcycle".
Floating parts arrangement and highly technological lighting—images that used to take 3D modelers days to produce, it can instantly provide high-quality prototype references.

In terms of e-commerce and advertising visuals, whether it's the cold, premium texture of Apple or the high-saturation, Chinese promotional copy-heavy web-style images required by e-commerce platforms, it handles them with ease.

In promotion and IP creation, GPT Image 2's layout logic and feature extraction also shine. Chinese font layouts are ready-to-use, storyboard logic is clear, and it can even turn the logo characteristics of various large models into IP extensions with strong internet appeal.
Prompt: Design a landscape poster for the movie "The Rescue Plan" (although it doesn't know Ryan Gosling's "The Gray Man", the actors selected are indeed blockbuster stars).
Prompt: Classic comic book inner page, including panel grids, character dynamic actions, and speech bubbles.
Prompt: Generate a series of different AI Large Language Model (Gemini, DeepSeek, ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, etc.) meme designs.
In the past, when designers aligned with requirements, they had to find various references, build complex design frameworks, and adjust typesetting and characters. Now, with a clear and simple prompt, a finished product ready for commercial proposals, e-commerce placement, or even direct release is produced.
During our testing, GPT Image 2 was available on both Plus and free accounts. Everyone can try it in their own ChatGPT dialog box.
However, there are currently rate limit prompts. When we frequently sent prompts requesting ChatGPT to generate images, it would directly reply with an error code stating, "Your image generation speed is too fast. To ensure the best experience for everyone, we have rate limits. Please generate again in 13 minutes."
It has to be said, whenever we think OpenAI has stagnated, it always throws out a new card when you are least prepared.
In the past few months, outsiders have complained that its new model releases were like "squeezing toothpaste" (slow progress), Sora was closed, and the ChatGPT Atlas browser was a flop, as if the once unassailable AI hegemon had really become weak.
Today's appearance of GPT Image 2 is a powerful response to those singing its praises.
When a model can deceptively generate math exams and completely replicate Douyin live stream interfaces, saying "this is made by AI" is no longer something one can spot at a glance.
